Office Policies

Scheduling : Patients are seen on an appointment basis only. Our office will be available in assisting you to schedule your child’s appointment around your busy schedule. We will make every effort to see sick children on a same-day basis. Well child visits should be scheduled in advance as much as possible. For new patients, your child must have a well child check with us within 30 days of establishing a relationship. You may call our office to schedule your child’s appointment anytime during our normal business hours. We request that you contact the office as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment or if you are going to be late.

Missed Appointments : In order to provide timely patient care, we ask that you notify the office if unable to keep your scheduled appointment time. This policy was developed to provide timely, same day appointments for those who need to be seen. We send out reminders 2 days in advance as well as the day before the appointment asking that you either confirm the appointment or reschedule the appointment. If someone makes an appointment and does not show, does not reply to the remindes or call in to cancel in a timely manner, then we have lost an available appointment for someone else and a $25.00 missed appointment fee will be charged. We understand that there are extenuating circumstance for missed appointment, but we need to inform you that after two no shows, your child may be dismissed from Good Pediatrics.

Arriving Late for Appointment : In order to avoid longer than necessary wait times, please notify the office if you will more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment. We will make every effort to still have your child seen the same day, but may have to offer a different appointment time or reschedule the appointment.

After Hour Calls : We have a physician available 24 hours, 7 days a week. After hours calls are forwarded to the cell phone of the physician on call. Sometimes the call does not go through or the phone number was entered incorrectly. If you do not receive a return phone call in a reasonable amount of time, please call back. Please use after hour calls for emergencies only. Prescription refills are done during normal office hours.

Dismissal: Good Pediatrics reserves the right to dismiss pateints and/or families for non-compliance to medical advise, inappropriate behavior or language toward staff and/or other patients, insufficient or inadequate flow of information between parents/patients and our office and other reasons not listed here.
