At Good Pediatrics, we are dedicated to providing the best possible care for your child. We have adopted the following financial policy to prevent any misunderstanding of your financial responsibility related to your child’s healthcare visit.
We participate with many health insurance plans and will file your child’s healthcare services received at our office with your insurance plan. We request that you bring your child’s insurance card or Medicaid card with you to each visit, so that we can file the correct insurance information. If you have insurance, we require payment of co-payments at the time of service. If we do not participate with your insurance, we will still see your child with the understanding that you may be responsible and billed for services as “out of network”. For a list of the insurance companies that we are in contract with, please Insurance Information.
If you do not have insurance, we require payment for charges at the time of service. A prompt payment discount may be applied. Each insurance policy plan differs and it is impossible for us to know what each insurance plan will pay; therefore, you may be billed for any additional co insurance and/or non covered services.
If billed and you are not able to pay your balance promptly or in full, please contact the office to make payment arrangements.
We cannot be held responsible for determining which parent is responsible for paying the bill in a divorce or separation arrangement. The parent that brings the child to the office will be responsible for payment of services and can give the bill to the other parent if they are responsible for payment.
We accept all forms of payment including cash, personal checks and credit/debit cards.
Writing checks with insufficient funds will result in a service charge and could also jeopardize any future credit in our office.
While we make every effort to confirm patients insurance is valid, the GUARANTOR(S) is/are ultimately responsible to verify and confirm that the pateint's insurance is valid at the time of service. This financial policy is subject to change without notice and may not include all possible questions that may need to be addressed. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
